Book Writting Ltd

Affiliates

Effective: 2026
Programme: Book Writting Affiliates

This page is the public rulebook for people who promote ebooks on bookwritting.com in return for a commercial relationship with Book Writting Ltd (“Book Writting”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It is an affiliates policy for a bookshop and publishing house — closer to a publisher’s house account than to a coupon-clipping network.

Applying for, or using, an affiliate link means you accept this page, our Terms, User Agreement, Data Protection Policy and Adverts Policy where they talk about marketing.

1. What an affiliate is (and is not)

An affiliate is a person or small business we have approved to share a personal referral link to our public ebook catalogue. You are an independent promoter. You are not an employee, agent with power to bind us, author by default, or a partner in the firm. Approval as an affiliate does not approve you as an author, and the reverse is also true — you may hold both if we have granted both.

We are not Amazon Associates, and this is not a self-service network with a published cookie-length and a public commission table that never changes. Rates, qualifying actions and payout timing are confirmed when we approve you (or in a later written update). Until we confirm a rate in writing, a click is not a promise of money.

2. How to join

  1. Create a reader account and sign in.
  2. Open My content in the dashboard.
  3. Apply to be an affiliate: display name, contact email, social or site details, and how we should pay you.
  4. Wait. We verify applications. We may ask for more information, refuse without a long essay, or approve you.

If we approve you, we issue an affiliate code. Your shareable catalogue link looks like:

https://bookwritting.com/ebooks?ref=YOURCODE

Keep that code to yourself except where you publish it as your link. Do not use another affiliate’s code.

3. How referral works today

When a visitor arrives with your ref parameter, we store that code for the browsing session so we can attribute interest in the catalogue to you. Always send people to a Book Writting URL that includes your code. Stripping the code, wrapping it in a cloaked redirect that breaks the parameter, or asking the reader to type the code in later, will usually mean we cannot connect the visit to you.

We may extend, replace or refine tracking (including longer windows or order-level attribution) as the shop grows. We will not invent a commission on an order we cannot reasonably tie to your link.

Self-purchases, purchases on accounts you control, and orders we reasonably believe are collusive, do not qualify. Free books have no purchase price, so they do not earn a purchase commission.

4. Commission, payout and tax

On approval we will tell you:

  • what action is payable (for example a paid ebook order, and whether subscriptions or services are in or out);
  • the percentage or fixed amount;
  • any minimum payout;
  • the currency and method (using the payout details you gave us);
  • how returns, failed payments and chargebacks reverse an accrual.

Digital goods that are refunded or charged back are not kept as a commission. Cancellation of a subscription before it becomes a qualifying paid renewal is handled as we describe when we set your rate.

You are responsible for your own tax, including VAT or income tax where it applies. We may ask for identification or a tax form before the first payout. We pay the person named on the approved application, not a third party you nominate after a dispute with a collaborator.

5. How you must promote

Tell the truth about the book and about us. You must make a commercial relationship obvious — a short “I earn a commission if you buy through my Book Writting link” (or equivalent) on the same post, video, email or page as the link, in line with the UK CAP Code, CMA influence guidance, and, if you market to US readers, the FTC’s endorsement guides.

Permitted in the ordinary course: your blog, newsletter, social profiles, book-club talks, and honest reviews that include the disclosure and the link.

Not permitted:

  • spam, purchased mailing lists, or unsolicited bulk WhatsApp, SMS or email;
  • malware, forced redirects, iframe tricks, or cookie stuffing;
  • bidding on “Book Writting”, “bookwritting.com” or confusing variants in paid search without our written yes;
  • fake “download free PDF” pages that are actually our paid titles;
  • using our name as if you were the publisher’s press office;
  • adult, hateful or illegal inventory driving traffic into the public catalogue;
  • collecting readers’ passwords or payment details on a page that pretends to be checkout.

You may not register domain names, social handles or ads that impersonate Book Writting Ltd.

6. Brand and assets

You may say you are a Book Writting affiliate. You may use cover images and titles in the ordinary way a reviewer uses them to identify a book, subject to the author’s and our rights. You may not put our logo on merchandise, or alter it, without written permission. When a title leaves the public catalogue (including Adult books, which are not for public promotion), stop pushing the public link to that title.

7. Data

You are an independent controller for the mailing list or social audience you already have. Do not send us personal data about your readers except what the link and our own checkout collect. Do not scrape our customer list. If you run ads, you must not upload our users’ emails into an ad platform unless those people were already your audience by a lawful route.

Our handling of account data is described in the Data Protection Policy.

8. Ending the relationship

Either of us may end the affiliate arrangement at any time by email. We may suspend a code immediately if we suspect fraud, brand harm, or a breach of this page. Accrued but unpaid amounts that we have already confirmed as payable will still be paid on the next scheduled run, minus reversals, unless the law or a fraud finding says otherwise. Unconfirmed pipeline dies with the termination.

Closing your Book Writting account ends the code. Do not pass the code to a buyer of your blog as if it were property unless we have agreed in writing to transfer it.

9. No exclusivity, no forecasts

You may affiliate for other bookshops unless a separate deed says otherwise. We may recruit other affiliates, including people in your niche. We do not forecast your income. Past click counts are not a warranty.

10. Contact

Apply in the dashboard after you sign in. Questions: Contact or hello@bookwritting.com with the subject “Affiliate”.
